“ Small business located in Wilmington. Very authentic. Cuban sandwich was great 8/10 and the stewed chicken was really good 8.5/10. I only wished the platter portions were bigger and the inside I thought could be a bit cleaner. I would def return and recommend:) ”
“ Healthy food and yummy food with a chill ambience. Got a red snapper steamed and deboned it, love this place. ”
“ Great taste in the food plus right dam good will shop them again so watch out for food eater me ”
“ If you're on the hunt for delicious authentic Dominican food, look no further this is the place! We ordered for take out and both servers at the counter were very nice and attentive. I would post what we ordered but we inhaled it all it was SO good! ”
“ I came here as a kid growing up. After church my mom would take us for lunch and we would stop here from time to time. My mother is Puerto Rican and my Dad is Dominican and this place comes as close as you can get from home cooked meals. The best place in Delaware to get authentic Dominican food. After all the years I've come back and it is still delicious. I hope one day they can expand beyond Wilmington! ”
“ As a foodie adventurous person as myself I was amazed by this cute little hole in the wall spot. It's my first time in Delaware and I wanted something different. This location was convenient for my short stay in Wilmington area and the food was wonderfully delicious. I have been to DR and my husband was skeptical being that he is spoiled with true authentic DR food so we took a risk. Ordered us Baked and Boiled chicken with yellow rice. Beans, plantains and lechon was amazing! My regret is not taking pics as you can see me and my husband was too busy enjoying our meals. It may not be presentable but the food is cooked with love and you will be savoring every bite. Service is great and wonderful people. Ambiance itself gave me that city felt hustle and bustle vibe. But they delivered with excellence and brought our food to us as we sat in the back. As an island person from across the nation we can always share commonalities through food and excellent service. They do not disappoint. My reason for 4 star and not 5 is basically comes down to limited space of parking and set up of ordering. But overall still a cute little establishment hole in the wall feel. Do yourself a favor and go check them out. ”
“ Best authentic Dominican food in the area of Delaware.Excellent service, my happy place. ”
“ The food is good but I wanted to add an extra cup of beans & I was told I couldn't. For the pri e you pay they should be able to because they did it before. Then I never get my full order, I ordered the Maduros & did not get them so I called to let them know & they said we put them in there so I don't know. ”
“ I moved back to Delaware last year after spending half a decade in NYC, where I frequented a tiny Dominican restaurant near my office in the Flatiron District that I swore up and down served the best stewed chicken. My coworkers and I would go at least once or twice a month to get our stewed (and sometimes baked) chicken fix, and when the city shut down and our office decided to go remote permanently, I thought I'd never get my fix again. I have to say one of my biggest regrets after living in Wilmington for nearly a year is not ordering from Dominican Cafe sooner. As soon as I tasted their stewed chicken, it felt like home in a way. The chicken was moist and falling off the bone, soaking up the delicious juices below -- I was in heaven. It was a meal someone put their heart into making. I recently bought a house in Newark, so although I'm sad to be moving away, Dominican Cafe will have me driving back to Wilmington for more, that's for sure. Thank you! ”
